Functional Nickel Iron Sulphide/Hydroxide catalysts for hydrazine oxidation and Energy Saving Hydrogen Production
This research offers an efficient, earth-abundant catalyst solution for sustainable hydrogen production and energy storage applications. The optimized NiFe-hydroxide/sulfide catalyst shows significant improvements in catalytic performance, with a water electrolysis current of 10 mA/cm² at a potential of 1.57 V. Its application in an Mg/seawater battery generated stable discharge for 16 hours, contributing to required power for hydrazine electrolysis. The electrodes maintained stable performance for over 70 hours at high current densities in water electrolysis, showcasing durability and efficiency in hydrogen production.
