Anthropic, Macquarie, GIC launch data center partnership

Anthropic, Macquarie Asset Management, and GIC have announced a strategic partnership to create Theseus Infrastructure, a new platform for developing and operating dedicated data center infrastructure for Anthropic.

• The parties will identify and develop new sites with Anthropic as anchor tenant, with an initial focus on the United States; Macquarie-managed funds and GIC will own the platform and fund the majority of the equity for each project.
• The release says the planned developments will require significant capital investment and create thousands of construction jobs and permanent operational roles; Anthropic said it will cover electricity price increases consumers may otherwise face from these sites, consistent with an earlier commitment.
